Side Isolation
Table of Contents
What this move is
Plain-language subtitle: train one side wall at a time, then alternate.
This page covers two related drills from the PDF:
Side Isolation: isolate the right wall, then the left wallAlternate Isolation: switch side to side more quickly
These exercises are about precision, not intensity.
What it trains
- awareness of the right and left walls separately
- noticing asymmetry
- side-to-center squeezing control
- smoother transitions between sides
What it should feel like
One side will often feel easier to find than the other. The PDF says that directly, and it is one of the most normal beginner experiences in this whole program.
Try to feel one wall moving toward the center while the other side stays quieter. If it feels tiny, that still counts.
Step-by-step instructions
Animation slot reserved
Needs a custom right-side, left-side, and alternating isolation visual.
Side Isolation
- Focus on the right wall of the vaginal canal and try to contract only that side.
- Once contracted, squeeze that wall toward the center of the canal. Use short pulses as needed.
- Relax.
- Repeat 10 times.
- Move on to the left side and repeat the same sequence.
Alternate Isolation
- Squeeze the right side toward center in one swift motion.
- Then do the same with the left side, without worrying about whether the right side is fully relaxing first.
- Alternate back and forth 20 times total, which means each side is squeezed 10 times.
Sets, reps, positions, and weekday placement
Weekday placement: labeled as the first exercise on Wednesdays in the PDF.
| Position | Side Isolation work | Alternate Isolation |
|---|---|---|
| Sitting | 3 sets of 10 right + 10 left | 20 total |
| Laying down | 3 sets of 10 right + 10 left | 20 total |
| Standing | 3 sets of 10 right + 10 left | 20 total |
| In all fours | 3 sets of 10 right + 10 left | 20 total |
Common beginner mistakes
- moving the hips or thighs instead of focusing internally
- squeezing both sides at once
- getting angry at the weaker side
- confusing "one side" with "maximum force"
- skipping the pulses that help you find the wall

Figure labels: pages 15-16 show both the single-side and alternate versions. Page 17 carries the Wednesday volume.

When to pause, scale down, or stop
Scale down if one-sided control feels impossible. Good beginner options:
- practice one side only for a short block
- use fewer reps
- mirror the action with your hands outside the body, like the PDF suggests, to reinforce the idea
This is a skill page. Treat it like one.
